Our Prayer of Repentance

Daniel Chapter 9

Daniel 9:3 And I set my face to Yahuweh Elohim, to seek by tefillah (prayer) and supplication, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: 4 And I made tefillah (prayer) to Yahuweh my Elohim, and made my confession, and said, O Yahuweh, the great and dreadful El, keeping the brit (covenant) and rachamim (mercy) to them that love Him, and to them that keep His mitzvoth (commandments); 5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, (transgression of Torah commandments), and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and from Your tzadik (righteous) mishpatim (judgments): 6 Neither have we hearkened to Your avadim (servants) the neviim (prophets), who spoke in Your Name to our melechim (kings), our nobles, and our ahvot (forefathers), and to all the people of the land. 7 O Yahuweh, tzedakah (righteousness) belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as at this day; to the men of Yahudah, and to the inhabitants of Yahrushalayim, and to kol (all) Yisrael, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries where You have driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against You. 8 O Yahuweh, to us belongs shame of face, to our melechim (kings), to our nobles, and to our ahvot (forefathers), because we have sinned against You. 9 To Yahuweh our Elohim belong rachamim (mercy) and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him; 10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of Yahuweh our Elohim, to have our halacha (walk) in His Torot (Yahushua), which He set before us by His avadim (servants) the neviim (prophets). 11 Yes, kol (all) Yisrael has transgressed Your Torah, even by departing, that they might not obey Your voice; therefore the curse-ha Allah is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the Torah of Moshe the eved of Elohim, because we have sinned against Him. 12 And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us, and against our leaders that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole shamayim (heaven) has not been done such destruction as has been done upon Yahrushalayim. 13 As it is written in the Torah of Moshe, all this evil has come upon us: yet we did not make our tefillot (prayer of repentance) before Yahuweh our Elohim, that we might make teshuvah (repentance) from our iniquities, (transgressions of Torah commandments), and understand Your emet (truth). 14 Therefore has Yahuweh watched over the evil, and brought it upon us: for Yahuweh our Elohim is tzadik (righteous) in all His works which He does: for we did not obey His voice. 15 And now, O Yahuweh our Elohim, that has brought your people forth out of the land of Mitzrayim (Egypt) with a mighty hand, and has gotten great fame for Your Name, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. 16 O Yahuweh, according to all Your tzedakah (righteousness), I ask You, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Yahrushalayim, Your kadosh (holy) mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our ahvot (forefathers), Yahrushalayim and your people have become a reproach to all that are around us. 17 Now therefore, O our Elohim, hear the tefillah (prayer) of Your eved, and his supplications, and cause Your face to shine upon Your Kadosh-Place that is desolate, for Yahuweh's sake. 18 O my Elohim, incline Your ear, and hear; open Your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your Name: for we do not present our supplications before You because of our tzedakah (righteousness, our own ability to keep Torah), but because of Your great rachamim (mercy in Yahushua the Living Torah). 19 O Yahuweh, hear; O Yahuweh, forgive; O Yahuweh, listen and do not wait, for Your own sake, O my Elohim: for Your city and Your people are called by Your Name.
